the story
A griot with a gap tooth, from New Jersey to DC.
a griot w/ a gap tooth.
Will Kobus is a hip-hop artist from New Jersey, based in DC. A griot is West Africa's keeper of stories, the one who remembers for everybody, and that's the job Will gives himself: family, faith, friends, losses and lessons, told straight.
He is one fifth of fourth n' oak, the collective he calls family. Casino Drive is the homebase, and the name on his records since full court press in 2022.
Most of his music is made with the people around him: Mettaworldzeke, GloverOfficial, Senojem, Poi$un, Magnus Andretti and the rest of the village. His newest tape, MAN PLANz, GOD LAUGHz, came out with Poi$un in September 2026.
